The pursuit of HAPPINESS

- The pursuit of happiness:

He had a difficult childhood: his parents separated and his father-in-law abused his mother and siblings. His mother was double condemned for the accusations of her father-in-law. Since they had no one to take care of them, he and his brothers and sisters had to stay in a foster home at the age of eight. His first marriage failed partly because he decided not to pursue a career in medicine and because he cheated on his wife. Not only did he fail miserably in his job as a medical equipment salesman, but his girlfriend also abandoned him due to worsening financial conditions. Without a home, he stayed with his son in motels, parks, airports and even in public toilets. He worked tirelessly at a brokerage firm and waited in long lines to sleep indoors during the night.

AFTER:

in 1982 After passing the licensing exam, guess what? Chris became a full-time Dean Witter employee but In 1987 he founded his own brokerage firm Gardner Rich & Co., where he owns 75%. He sold a small stake in Gardener Rich in 2006 as part of a multi-million dollar deal.

I think you know who I’m talking about, Chris Gardner, C.E.O., and founder of Christopher Gardner International Holdings, with offices in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago. Her life was shown in a Hollywood movie, The Pursuit of Happiness, which was not only a blockbuster but was also loved by audiences around the world.
