Never take it for granted ...

- Never take it for granted :

The story goes that a man once punished his three-year-old daughter for squandering a roll of gilded paper. Money was scarce and he got angry when the girl tried to decorate a box to place it under the Christmas tree. Even so, the girl took the gift of her father the next morning and said: "This is for you, dad."

The man was ashamed of his previous exaggerated reaction, but his anger flared up again when he discovered that the box was empty. He shouted: "You do not know when someone gives a gift, there must be something in it." The little girl saw him with tears in her eyes and exclaimed: "Oh, dad, it's not empty at all." I blew kisses on the box, they're all for you, dad, the father was shocked, wrapped his arms around his little girl and he asked for forgiveness.

Shortly after, an accident claimed the life of the girl. It is also said that her father had kept the gold box out of his bed for years and that if he became discouraged, he would take an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had been there.

moral of the story: In a very real sense, each one of us, as human beings, have received a golden vessel full of unconditional love and kisses ... of our children, family, friends. There is simply no other possession that someone could have more value than that.
