Would you build a fence or a BRIDGE ?

- Would you build a fence or a bridge?:

Once there were two brothers who lived in neighboring farms that came into conflict. It was the first serious mistake in 40 years of agriculture side by side, the exchange of machines and the negotiation of work and goods as necessary without any problem.

Then the long cooperation collapsed. It started with a little misunderstanding and it became a big difference, and finally, it broke out in a bitter exchange followed by weeks of silence.

One morning, someone knocked on John's door. He opened it to find a man with a toolbox. "I'm looking for a few days of work," he said.

"Maybe you have some occasional work here and there, could I help you?"

"Yes," said the older brother. Look across the stream from this farm, can you see that person? it's my neighbor, indeed, he is my younger brother, last week it was a meadow between us and he took his bulldozer to the riverbank. Well, maybe he did that to annoy me, but I'll see it even better: Do you see that pile of wood hardening near the barn? I want you to build a fence for me, an 8-foot fence, so I do not have to see it anyway.

The carpenter said: "I think I understand the situation, show me your nails and the excavator and I can do a job that you like.

The older brother had to go to the city for help, so he helped the carpenter prepare the material and then left for a day.

The carpenter worked hard all day to measure, saw and nail.

At dusk, when the farmer returned, the carpenter had just finished his work. The farmer's eyes opened, his jaw dropped.

There was no fence at all. It was a bridge ... a bridge that stretched from one side of the stream to the other! A few of work ramps and everything, and the neighbor, his younger brother, crossed his outstretched hand.

"You are a true man to build that bridge, I said and I did it."

The two brothers stopped at each end of the bridge, they found themselves in the middle and held hands. They turned and saw the carpenter lifting his toolbox over his shoulder. "No, wait, stay a few days, I have many other projects for you," said the older brother.

"I would like to stay," says the carpenter, "but I still have many bridges to build."

Moral of the story: how many bridges do we need to build in today's world? and if you were the carpenter would you build a bridge or a fence?
